Let’s Chat About Your Dog
Whether you’re looking to book a relaxed portrait session, ask about gift vouchers, or discuss photography for your dog, I’d love to hear from you.
Pets Make Portraits is run by Nick Goodwin, a Midlands-based dog photographer known to many owners through canicross event photography, outdoor dog portraits and pet-focused commercial photography.
If you’ve arrived here from one of the canicross event galleries, this is the right place to ask about portrait sessions over the summer break.
Summer Dog Portrait Sessions
As the canicross season winds down, I’m now taking enquiries for relaxed dog portrait sessions over the summer break.
These sessions are ideal if you’d love something more personal than race-day action photographs, whether that’s a beautiful image for your wall, a keepsake of your dog, or a relaxed outdoor portrait session built around their personality.
Your dog doesn’t need to be perfectly trained, sit still for ages, or behave like a model. The sessions are calm, patient and designed around your dog’s character, energy and confidence.
You can use the form below to tell me a little about your dog, where you’re based, and the kind of portrait session you have in mind.
What to include in your message
To help me respond properly, it’s useful to include:
Your dog’s name and breed/type
Where you’re based
Whether your dog is confident, nervous, energetic or older
Whether you’re interested in outdoor portraits, studio portraits, private woodland sessions, wall art, gift vouchers, or just want to know what’s available
Any dates or times that may work for you
You don’t need to know exactly what you want yet — just send me a message and we can talk it through.
Areas Covered & Session Locations
Pets Make Portraits is based near Bewdley and works with dog owners across the Midlands and surrounding counties.
Many of the dog owners I meet through canicross travel a long way for events, so I’m happy to discuss portrait sessions further afield where practical. Local areas include Bewdley, Stourport, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
For owners who would prefer a quieter, more private setting, I also have access to 190 acres of private woodland on the outskirts of Stourport. This gives us a beautiful natural backdrop for relaxed dog portraits, away from busy parks and public spaces.
Studio-style portrait sessions are also available, using a clean background and controlled lighting to create polished portraits of your dog. These are ideal if you prefer a simpler, more classic look, or if you’d like images suitable for wall art, prints or keepsakes.
Travel within approximately 10 miles of my base is included. For sessions beyond that, a travel charge may apply based on distance and journey time, but this will always be confirmed before booking.
