Pet Photography Portraits That Tell a Rescue Story

At our pet photo studio, we believe in capturing more than just a dog’s appearance — we aim to tell their story. And Goose and Leica, two rescued Ibizan Hounds, brought both heart and energy to their pet photography portraits session.

Their owner, Willow, has always had dogs. After the passing of their last girl, the family felt a huge void. Determined to adopt rather than shop, they found Podencos, a group of Spanish hunting dogs often abandoned at the end of each season. That’s how Goose — a cheeky, affectionate pup who’d survived a snare trap — entered their lives.

While waiting for Goose to clear quarantine, his fosterers rescued Leica — a nervous but sweet 4-month-old who stuck to Goose for confidence. Willow couldn’t bear to split them up and decided to adopt both.

Pet Portraits Photography With Personality

Now settled in their forever home, Goose and Leica are bursting with character. Goose loves a snuggle under a blanket (even in summer!), while Leica, once shy and distant, now seeks out affection and climbs onto laps for hugs. Their transformation is one of trust, patience, and love — and it’s exactly what we strive to capture in our pet portraits photography.

Their bond is clear in every photo we took at the studio — whether cuddled together or showing off their playful sides.

Dog Photographer Worcester Meets Canicross Duo

What really brings out their energy is canicross — a sport Willow and her family now enjoy together. Willow, a former runner, rediscovered her passion after trying a DogFit taster session with Goose. They loved it so much that they joined a local group, running regularly through the forest trails.

Soon after, Willow’s mum got involved too, training with Leica via a Couch to 5K. Now, Willow runs with Goose while her mum teams up with Leica — and they’ve even taken home first place in the 2-dog category at CaniX Wyre Forest with their young pointer in tow.

As a dog photographer Worcester can rely on, we love meeting dogs like this — energetic, affectionate, and full of character.

Pet Photo Studio Sessions That Capture Connection

Willow was initially unsure how well the dogs would handle a photo session. But like many owners, she was amazed at how relaxed and enjoyable the experience turned out to be:

“The quality of the photographs is exceptional. My dad said they looked like oil paintings. The way they capture the dogs’ personalities is incredible — it’s like I know exactly what they’re thinking.”

That’s exactly what we aim for in our pet photo studio sessions — a relaxed environment that lets dogs be themselves.
